This is not your average raincoat made of vinyl or plastic. It’s made from the same rubber as your classic rainboot. From a distance, it looks like any other coat, but the closer shots really show the material well. The original retail price: $3350. This is currently available on eBay at $1275. I’ll keep dreaming.

That coat is absolutely insane. And I have a great pair of rain boots that would match it exactly.
It might have to be mine!!

My husband and I visited INA a few days ago so I could try on this red rubber raincoat. The unlined rubber is a very interesting feeling… certainly not for everyone! It’s very heavy feeling; you certainly know you’re wearing it and it makes an interesting sound when putting it on and walking around. Not swishy… maybe more of a rustle or schlocky type of noise but I see it as part of the fun of wearing something so different!
As you can probably tell I did buy it; they cut a nice deal (still a bit of a splurge) and I just fell in love with it once I slipped it on. Very tough to resist and I can’t wait for the rain to fall so I can wear it as soon as possible!
